About Pamela Jones
Thank you for visiting my page. I hope you enjoy visiting and like what you see. I live in West Cross Mumbles, Swansea South Wales in the UK. I have been painting for as long as I can remember. My prefered medium is watercolour as it serves landscape painting very well with it's transparent and also opaque properties. I draw my inspiration from the beautiful scenery of Mumbles, Gower, The Brecon Beacons, West Wales, North Wales and I also paint in France and Italy. I have a slightly impressionistic style staying away from the photographic copying of a scene. I feel the artist must balance skill and imagination. A painting without imagination has no feeling. Colour harmony is most important, the aim of the painting is to give the essence of the subject. Hopefully the viewer will feel this when they look at the paintings. I paint in my own natural style, which has evolved and sort of just happens.
